A Kenya transit visa may be necessary for Canadians who wish to travel to Kenya from Canada. You do not require a transit visa if you plan to stay at the airport to catch a connecting plane and are not leaving the airport.

A business visa application requires an official letter of invitation. You should get an official letter of invitation from the Kenyan agency or individual that you will be associating with while you are there. The purpose of the journey to Kenya, such as a conference or meeting, must be stated in the letter, as well as the company's contact information. Company letterhead is required.

Kenya Visa on Arrival

Visa on arrival is not available for anyone traveling to Kenya. All visitors to Kenya, regardless of whether they are there for leisure, business, or medical treatment, are required to submit an online visa application. Some passport holders were allowed to enter Kenya without a visa before 2021.

Kenya E-visa Extension

The validity period of an e-visa for Kenya is for a period of ninety days. However, because the country is so beautiful and there is so much to see there, visitors wish they could stay for a longer period of time.

Over the past four decades, Kenya's tourism industry has undergone steady but incremental growth. Kenya is frequently visited by people from other countries for a variety of reasons, including tourism and commerce. The country's abundant wildlife has been drawing in a significant number of vacationers over the course of the last few years, making it one of the nation's most popular selling points. The government views tourism as a chance to invest in travel-related businesses because it results in the creation of more jobs for local residents. Therefore, acquiring a travel authorization will become a great deal less complicated. Additionally, the Kenya Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues extensions for Kenya visa holders who are already in Kenya.

Visitors to Kenya may extend their stay by up to 90 days by obtaining a visa extension, extending their trip by up to 180 days. Sending a few documents to the Immigration Office in Mombasa or the Immigration Headquarters in Nairobi is all that is necessary to obtain the extension.

The original 90 days, plus an extra 90 days granted with the extension, are the maximum number of days that the Kenya tourist e-visa may be extended. You can submit an application right away if you need to leave the nation and come back. This single-entry tourist visa for Kenya will expire if you enter the nation and stay there for longer than the allotted 90 days.

Note: For more information, contact the Kenyan Consulate or Embassy if you need to stay in Kenya longer than the extended time.
